Product Fit
Products it packs
A vertical packing machine forms and seals the bag from rollstock. Feeding and dosing are separate project decisions. Select the closest product profile to see the checks buyers and quality teams actually fail on — these categories do not confirm compatibility.
Powders Packaging
Typical dosing
Controlled feed + auger or other powder dosing route
Key checks
- Dust at the seal
- Flow / bridging
- Bulk density
- Dose & giveaway
Dust on the seal area is the usual powder failure, not the brochure speed. An auger route is a common starting point; free-flowing and difficult powders may need different feeding, agitation or dust-control decisions after a sample run.
Bag Formats
Bag formats it makes
Compare five rollstock formats buyers actually request: pillow pack, 3-side-seal sachet, 4-side-seal sachet, shaped sachet and stick pack. They do not share one forming set. Each still needs a finished-bag drawing, film roll data and a real material sample.
All 5 bag formats — select one to see what it is used for.
Pillow pack
Typical applications
Rear vertical seal with top and bottom cross seals. Printed fine sea salt example on this page.
Compatibility check
Confirm finished width and length, film roll width, registration, seal layer and product headspace.
Real sample confirmation
Laminated film, laminated paper film and aluminum-foil laminate are current-page examples — not universal approvals. Send the finished-pack drawing, film structure, roll width, core, outer diameter, registration mark and physical samples. The pack images are editorial format references, not production samples.

Frequently Asked Questions
Vertical Form Fill Seal Machine FAQs
Models, speed, films, CE, lead time, payment and support.
Can a vertical packing machine run my product and pack format?
Yes, for powders, granules, liquids, pastes and small solids in pillow bags, sachets and stick packs 40–200 mm wide. The filler is matched to the product: an auger for powders, a cup filler or multihead weigher for granules, a pump for liquids. Premade and zipper pouches run on the rotary premade bag packing machine instead. See Product Fit.
How fast is a vertical form fill seal machine?
VFFS-320 and VFFS-420 run 10–60 bags/min; see the model comparison. Your rate depends mainly on fill weight, bag length, product flow and the filler, so the free sample test shows the speed for your own product before you order.
How do I choose between VFFS-320 and VFFS-420?
Choose by bag size: VFFS-320 forms bags 40–150 mm wide and 100–200 mm long, VFFS-420 bags 80–200 mm wide and 100–250 mm long. For bags between 80 and 150 mm wide, either model works; pick VFFS-420 if you also plan larger bags. We confirm the forming set with your bag drawing or sample.
Can a vertical packing machine make pillow packs, sachets and stick packs on one tooling route?
Not on one forming set. Pillow bags, 3-side-seal sachets, 4-side-seal sachets, shaped sachets and stick packs each need their own former and sealing jaws. Tell us every format you plan to run and we quote the change parts with the machine. See Pouch Formats.
Which films can a VFFS machine run?
Laminated film or PE film, for example OPP/CPP, OPP/PE and PET/PE; laminated paper and aluminium-foil laminates are also used. Send the film structure or a roll sample with your product for the sample test.
Is the VFFS machine CE marked?
Yes. VFFS-320 and VFFS-420 are CE-marked under Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC (EN ISO 12100, EN 60204-1, EN 415-1). The technical file was reviewed by UDEM, certificate M.2024.206.C100050, valid to 2029-04-25. Ask us for the certificate and declaration of conformity.
What are the lead time and payment terms?
Lead time is 14–40 days from the day we receive your deposit. Payment is 30% deposit to start production and 70% balance before shipment. Before you pay the balance we send full test videos and photos, and you can arrange a FAT or third-party inspection.
Can you test my product before I order?
Yes, sample testing is free. Send your product and film; we test them free of charge and send a test video within 3 working days of receiving the samples. You pay the sample freight, and we refund it when you place the order.
Can feeding and downstream equipment be part of a vertical packing machine quotation?
Yes. Product feeding, dosing, discharge conveying and compatible inspection equipment can be reviewed together with the VFFS host. In the final proposal each item is identified as standard, optional or project-dependent. Review the line configuration before you compare host-only prices.
What should I send for a vertical packing machine proposal?
Start with your product, fill weight and a bag photo or drawing. Add the target output, your local voltage and any coding, gas flushing or downstream equipment you need. Partial details are fine; samples can follow. Use the inquiry form.
How is a vertical packing machine supported after it ships — and what is the warranty?
Warranty covers 12 months from the date of machine receipt. During that period, defects or malfunctions are covered by technical support and complimentary spare parts for replacement; freight on those parts is borne by the buyer. From dispatch onward, support is available by phone, Skype or FaceTime. Most issues can be resolved remotely. When an onsite visit is required, a technician is arranged; the service fee, round-trip airfare and accommodation are the buyer's responsibility. See Service & Support.
