How does Vertical Form Fill Seal Packaging Machine Work?
The process of vertical form, fill, and seal (also known as VFS, VFFS, or vertical bagging) begins with a cylindrical roll of film. The bagging machine will feed film from the roll through the bag-forming tube.
Once the pouch has been moved through the bag-forming tube, the film will fold and the vertical seal bars will stretch to close the pouch’s rear.
Once the necessary pouch length has been transferred and the product has been placed inside, the horizontal seal bars will shut, seal, and cut the pouch, resulting in a completed product with top and bottom horizontal seals and one vertical rear seal.

The VFFS 320S, 420S, and 620S series are designed for simplicity of use and can make pouches up to 12 inches wide in a range of shapes and sizes, including small packages, stick packs, pillow bags, and gusseted pouch.
Designed with a 304 stainless steel frame made of a single piece;
- VFFS 320S for pouches with a maximum width of 6 inches (150mm)
- VFFS 420S for pouches with a maximum width of 8 inches (200mm)
- VFFS 620S for pouches of up to 12 inches wide (300mm)
Optional features include gas flushing, a polyethylene seal assembly, a hole punch, pivoting pouch support, bag squeezers for reducing headspace air, and facilities for code dating/printing devices.
